In 2018 Poland was visited by 19 million foreigners. This is 4% more than in the previous year. The most popular destination was Baltic Sea and large cities. Seaside health resorts enjoyed a record popularity.
In the summer, many facilities in coastal resorts were 100% occupied. In addition to the Baltic Coast, Warsaw, Kraków and Wieliczka enjoyed record-breaking popularity among tourists from abroad. The increase in incoming traffic to Poland is also visible at Polish airports. In 2018 they served 46 million travelers, which is 15% more than in the previous year.The Polish Tourist Organization expects a further increase in foreign arrivals to Poland this year. POT intends to allocate 12 million PLN for the development of marketing campeign in the key markets and taking part in Tourism Fairs all over the world.
