The Sopot Pier (Molo, Sopot)

The Sopot Pier is one of the most popular recreation and event facilities in Poland. It is a flagship landmark of this health resort. It is composed of two parts: wooden and land parts. The wooden part (walking section) comprises, apart from the main bridge (511.5 m out of which 458 m stretches deeper towards the Bay of Gdańsk), lower decks as well as the side deck that make it possible for passenger ships and yachts to come alongside.

The concentration of iodine in places stretching deeper into the sea is two times higher than on the land. The land part of the pier (the Curative Square) is an open area with the surface of 20 thousand square metres. In the Curative Square one can see a gorgeous historic fountain, sea lighthouse with a viewing point, concert shell, gastronomic points and plenty of greenery. The square is also a place where huge parties are held (for up to 15 thousand people), whereas an artificial ice rink is available here during the winter season.

The Crooked House (Krzywy Domek, Sopot)

The Crooked House in Sopot was constructed in 2003 and its character has been based on the drawings of Jan Marcin Szancer and Per Dahlberg as well as Gaudi’s designs. Most of all, this popular walking promenade is a meeting place of the Tri-City Bohemia, people looking for fun and joy.
