Day 1
Arrival in Krakow. Private car transfer from the airport to the hotel. Dinner at your own expense. Overnight stay.
Day 2
After breakfast we start discovering the secrets of Krakow: Why are the handcuffs on St. Mary's church? How big is the largest medieval altar of Europe? Why does the king sleep on the lion? Finally,where are the bones of the dragon? Walking around the Old Town we follow the Krakow's legends and take part in the interactive tasks: we solve the riddles of the royal tombs, touch the heart of the Sigismund's Bell and make our own guidebook of Krakow!
After lunch break we head to Wieliczka to visit one of the oldest and biggest Salt Mines in Europe (UNESCO). During the underground tour we explore the depths of the mine with its all treasures: chambers, lakes, chapels, including famous St. Kinga's Chapel and its magnificent decoration carved in salt. Return to Krakow, dinner at your expense, overnight stay.
Day 3
After breakfast we take a trip to the 11th century Benedictine Abbey nearby Krakow, picturesquely situated on the hill over the Vistula River. Here, in the monastery, we are taken round by one of the monks who shares the secrets of the Benedictines' life. We also get to know the medieval art of writing books – we learn how to write with a traditional goose quill pen! During the tour you receive a special book of tasks to do – if you complete all of them, you can get the Certificate of the Benedictine! After the tour we enjoy lunch in the monastery restaurant! We go back to Krakow (optinally: by boat on the Vistula River). Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at your own expense. Overnight stay.
Day 4
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.
