The gallery, which is situated at Slawkowska 14 Street, at first floor, very close to the Main Market Square, is often visited by foreign tourist. They look for high standards works of art, at a reasonable
price and they usually leave the "Kociol" satisfied, having found a souvenir from Cracow.

The "Kociol Artystyczny" ("Artistic Kettle") gallery has draw a group of almost 60, mostly Cracovian artist. "I'm sing my best to exhibit works of art, that people would like to have in their homes and look at with pleasure the moment they wake up", says Ms Lidia Zukowska was started the gallery.This means that in the "Kociol Artystyczny" one will not find aggressive abstractions, but rather paintings with are close to the realistic style.

Lidia Zukowska also organizes meetings of lovers of painting and graphics with artists. "Thanks to this, I don't need to play the role of a strict censor and decide which of the works offered for exhibiting can
be presented, I show all of them and it is the public which decides what it likes".

Ms Lidia Zukowska is a journalist, a stage manager and film, theater director by profession. She feels emotionaly attached to Cracow. Before she made up her mind to start own gallery 16 years ago, she had
organized a few for various institutions. From the very beginning, it was her ambition that Cracow's artists might be able present a wide range of their works at the "Kociol".And the gallery is successful in doing so.

On the walls there are works by painters who been considered to be best in the city at the foot of Wawel Hill for years, and are recognized in Poland and often abroad. But the gallery is also open to exibitting works by debutantes, students at the Fine Arts Academy, Artists like coming to the "Kociol" and spending
some of their time there. It has become a favourite meeting place of the Cracow Bohemia.
