This place can not be found on any map. For people living in Wola Justowska, it is the second most beautiful neighbourhood in Kraków, after the Old Town. Visitors come here mostly by accident, residents want to retain it for themselves. The Gallery is located in an old beautiful and historic park, called Decius Park. In this Park there is also the 16th c. old Villa Decius.
Bronisław Chromy is a professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, the artist who is known and recognized in Poland and abroad.
While city centre of Kraków in a very busy place here, in Wola Justowska, time slowed down. Squirrels and birds do their daily business among very old trees, sometimes interrupted by the man’s best friends. The Decius Park is a beautiful place for walking, ideal destination for out of town weekend stroll, yet- 6 km from the city centre. Children enjoy new, quite big playground. This old, oasis of greenery is sooting for human mind during hot summer days and in winter visitors are attracted by the warmth of fireplace and delicious hot drinks and cakes at “Cafe at Pegasus”, where atmosphere of this place prevails all year.
Within and around the Gallery, paintings and sculptures of Bronisław Chromy and his daughter Kinga. Gallery has a large exhibition space in the basement where Chromy’s sculptures and those of his artist friends can be seen.
The Gallery organises concerts and spectacles too, where artists such as Andrzej Sikorowski, Jan Oberbek, Anna Dymna, Józef Baran or Adam Ziemianin can be met.
